Pascucci 1826

  workshop-9

Since 1826 the iconic and unique xylographic printing process lives again in a workshop in Gambettola, a village in Emilia-Romagna: wooden hand-carved matrices, impregnated with coloring paste, decorate linen fabrics with geometric, floral or animal shapes, that recall the iconographic heritage of the territory. The Printing House Pascucci 1826 produces valuable hand printed paintings from seven generations.

The Pascucci family kept handing down from generation to generation the trade secrets, the passion and the creative impulse, while maintaining the printing process unaltered, using new colors and inventing new designs. This is possible even thanks to the collaboration with artists, who were fascinated by this ancient art: nowadays the workshop collaborates with various artists, making this artisanal craft closer to art.
